Since my daughter was 4 years old, I have been trying to find an after school program that teaches arabic and islamic studies to children. Independent Learning was created in 2010 to help homeschooling Muslim families connect and share resources. Over time we grew to 300+ strong on FB and branched into online webinars focused on homeschooling. Now we want to start a physical group in Northern NJ to bring Muslims together and build a physical community of sharing and community service. We are a cooperative of Muslim Homeschoolers located in Northern New Jersey. We get together on a regular basis for mom-taught classes for the kids, field trips, playdates, mom's night out and Eid/family gatherings.
